2009 Shanghai Summer Program, China
May 18 - July 18, 2009

This is the fifth annual Georgia Tech Shanghai Summer Program, a faculty-led study abroad program that is co-sponsored by the Office of International Education and the Georgia Tech - Shanghai Initiative. This program is in partnership with Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU).

Our 2008 program enrolled 51 students from 13 different schools/majors (AE, BME, CEE, ChBE, CompE, DMTH, EE, INTA, ME, MGT, MSE, NRE, PFE). This program is open to students from all U.S. colleges and universities.

Prof. Ye-Hwa Chen, School of Mechanical Engineering

Five Georgia Tech professors will teach seven courses in science, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. SJTU will offer non-credit courses in Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Cooking, Tai Chi, and Weiqi (Go Game). Classes will be held during the nine-week period May 18, 2009 - July 18, 2009.
